Houze of waxx has built its foundation on bringing Awareness to the Mental Health crisis by way of music, music collecting, programming, fundraising and in events held in the same communities that are being affected by the Mental Health crisis. Like any collection it takes time, patience, nurturing and understanding to build a collection one record at a time. The vision, education and patience it takes to build a worthy collection is the same approach we us in helping each individual with a Mental Disorder. Our members of Houze of waxx have a unique outlook on Mental Disorders being Survivors themselves with over 50yrs combined, we feel this gives us a better understanding of how to service the community and survivors as individuals and not just a disorder. Houzeofwaxx not only looks to help spearhead this campaign by raising awareness but also in a sponsorship and networking role. Houzeofwaxx looks to extend our reach in becoming a information hub for not only our communities but surrounding communities as well.

“Music can lift us out of depression or move us to tears – it is a remedy, a tonic, orange juice for the ear. But for many of my neurological patients, music is even more – it can provide access, even when no medication can, to movement, to speech, to life. For them, music is not a luxury, but a necessity.”
Oliver Sacks
professor of neurology at NYU School Of Medicine
